No launch control for F-Type

Agreed, hard launches feel pretty pointless and arguably plain stupid if you have a sense of mechanical sympathy. WOT while the car is up to speed is another topic though. 
Interesting to hear some other views on on the configurable dynamic mode. I really like the sharpened throttle response and different gearbox behavior in dynamic mode but always thought that the steering and suspension differences were way too small and barely noticeable. But then I live in a part of the world where the ride is not an issue because most roads are perfectly smooth and potholes are pretty much non-existant.
It would be nice if there were some more levels to choose between and not only comfort or dynamic. I know that the suspension can get much harder than in dynamic mode. A couple of years ago I got a random suspension error a couple of times, maybe because of a low battery, where the dynamic suspension was disabled and you could feel a big difference in stiffness even on smooth roads.

I played with custom dynamic mode but similar to you they didnt make enough difference to really be worth fiddling - the biggest difference that I mentioned before is after lowering, comfort started feeling rougher.
Interesting idea on a wider range of damping settings for our dampers - wonder what the range really is. The thing I have discovered about these cars - they are complicated, wonder what it would actually take to modify to custom damper settings...

If somebody pulls next to you at a light, are you going to rev it to 5500rpms and for how long until you time the light and your launch control.
In fact, after 5 seconds it shuts off and then you will be left sitting there.
BTW, I don't street race anymore.
I used my dragy and there is a 0.3-0.4 difference between launch control and not using launch control in my Porsche, 2.6-2.7 to 3.0 without.

My F-Type V6S has launch control but I have only ever used it once and that was by accident!
One day I was stopped at a traffic light and suddenly the revs rose quite a lot and I had to stomp the brake pedal good and hard to keep the car from taking off through a red light. I was tempted to shut 'er down but I knew the lights were about to change so I just kept pressure on the brake pedal.
It wasn't until I got to the other side of the lights that I figured out what had happened - somehow by accident I had invoked launch control, dunno how or why.
My best guess is that I had somehow managed to "fat foot" both the go and whoa pedals at the same time.

That was on a 37 degree day on an unprepped street on all-season radials.
The Jaguar is way more fun to drive than the Turbo S.
No matter how fast the Porsche is, it does not sound like the Jag and Turbos don't have that initial thrust of a supercharger.

Not true - I had a 4-pot loaner that had launch control. I think it was available on all 4 and 6 pot engined models.
