Default No start, no dash lights, nothing

Like the title reads. Push the start button and nothing happens. No dash lights, nothing. None of the dash buttons work. Radio is off. Interior lights are off.
I do not have a flat battery as my battery charger shows that I do have 12.5V and a charge level of 80%. (It has been sitting for a week.)
I'm charging anyway to make sure it will be fully charged.
What will cause this?
I may have caused this myself unknowingly.
I removed the secondary battery. All cables that were attached to it are not connected.
How do I manually open the trunk/boot? I do not see a slot for a key.

On the right side of the trunk (boot) undertray...There are 2 vents behind the bumper. If you get under your bumper, a little bit of bending, you can remove the right hand vent. That leaves a hole where you can reach out to the emergency release in the trunk.

Picture of the area here in this post.

Secondary battery likely NOT the culprit. It only serves to keep systems up when eco stop/start shuts off the motor. Many here have removed the battery to disable the system and save weight. Have you had the battery load tested? Any auto parts place should be able to do that. With these cars, usually the first thing to suspect is the battery. To open the boot, you can connect jump leads to posts under the hood.

While I had the battery charger on the car, I tried again to start the car. Again, nothing happened. No lights, no trunk opening, etc.
Also, how to load test the trunk mounted battery if I can't get into the trunk?

You should be able to get into the car with the emergency key. Open the hood, front right of engine bay should have jumper posts you can connect to. Once connected, you should be able to open the boot and access the battery.

The car is not locked. I have already had a battery charger on those posts. I still have no power available to anything with, or without, the charger connected.

@David4883 You may have accidentally loosened the ground or positive wire at the main battery post. What charger are you using?

Try a charger with a battery maintainer that can put out at least 10-20A. A light-duty 5A CTEK may not be enough. Put it into maintain (supply) mode instead of charge mode. See what happens.

I did nothing to the main battery. I only removed the secondary battery. I just left those cables unconnected as I was going to replace it.
My battery charger is cable of giving a 100A start boost if necessary.

Is your battery fully charged now? Has it changed from 12.5V / 80% SOC? It should now be in the mid 13V range at 100% SOC.

The main battery terminal cables get surprisingly loose over time without even touching them, probably from the soft metal and large temperature swings in the trunk. That's what I was referring to.

The battery charged to 100%. I didn't note the voltage. I will check that tomorrow.
But the car should still show some semblance of power to the interior with the charger connected and charging. I had nothing.

OK then you will need to get the trunk open to see what is going on. @Carbuff2 successfully did this using this clever protocol:

I looked under the rear bumper and did not see any vents.
The last image I referenced in response #2 has a picture of what the vent looks like. Looks like a thin piece of plastic.

The vent just snaps in & out. Picture in THIS post:

If you can release the boot from that side vent, it will save a lot of time & trouble. When I accidentally closed the trunklid with the red wires disconnected, powering the car up from the engine bay wasn't an option.

A friend of mine with his 2015 f-type coupe at a similar problem. He found that there was a large fuse in the trunk that had blown and provided him no power at all similar to yours. So when you get into the trunk look for this large fuse. I don't know the location are much about it but that could be your culprit.

I don’t have the 2nd battery so not familiar with its wiring but I do wonder, did you insulate the connections when you disconnected from the dead battery? Might it have shorted the fuse mentioned above?

If you let 2nd battery terminals free and unprotected these are high change that positive terminal have been shorted to the chassis and blowed some fuses. Thank god if this is the case because much worse have been known happen. (like burning whole car down)

I removed the unused, 'loose' aux battery cables when I removed ours.

MORE WEIGHT LOST = FASTER F-TYPE!

In an attempt to access the trunk/boot, I removed the panel under the rear of the trunk lid. The one that has the push button to open the trunk. I then removed the connector to the push button that triggers the trunk latch to open. I stuck a wire in both sides of the wired connector. Then the other end of the wires to a fully charged motorcycle battery. Nothing.

Did you already try this method and it didn't work? https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/f...2/#post2387776

If not you need to access the CJB in the passenger footwell under the carpet to get to the C3BP01F connector.
