Here in Oz the majority of 95 RON fuel/petrol/gas (the minimum requirement of the F-Type V6 and V8 engines) and 98 RON are 100% ethanol free, ie pure gas.
I use the 98 RON some of the time and the 95 some of the time and there are zero problems with either.
I also use 100 RON most of the time, which is 98 RON laced with 5% ethanol, and also no problems
You can also get a range of 5% and 10% ethanol laced gas here in Oz, most commonly 94 RON which is basic 91 RON gas laced with 10% ethanol. I never have and never will use that stuff in my F-Type, the RON is too low and and the ethanol content is too high for my liking.
The manual specifies that the V6 and V8 should not use gas with more than 10% ethanol content.
91 RON = 87 AKI and 95 RON = 91 AKI, so using the AKI terminology 91 AKI "pure gas" is perfectly OK to run in your F-Type, but I would be wary of using AKI 91E10 as it's right on the borderline for both octane rating and ethanol content.
If you diluted 91E10 with 87 pure gas you would end up with an octane rating lower than that specified by JLR so I would not do it.

For "pure" gasoline, there is usually an 8 point difference between RON and MON. The AKI in the U.S. is the average of the two. E10 will usually have a 10 point difference between RON (research octane) and MON (motor octane). So a 93 Octane E10 will have a 98 RON and an 88 MON. Over simplified explanation: RON is more critical under high rpm conditions, MON more critical under low speed, high load conditions. For track use, you want the two numbers as close as possible, since the engine will be exposed to all of these conditions.

Don't worry about the ethanol content. Octane rating is far more important. Jag recommends min 95 Ron which is the same as 93AKI.

Cars have sealed fuel systems that prevent ingress.

Particularly so with modern cars....over the last couple decades or so. Heck, if you're gas cap is two clicks shy from being fully seated the self-test system will trigger a warning light.

Octane; 92 w/E10 or 89 + additive
Hello; I was hoping for some guidance for fuel for my 17 Jag F Type, please.
Here on Kauai the highest octane (for all gas stations) we have is 92 and that comes with E10 (which I prefer not to use). One station offers gas with an octane rating of 89 and with no ethanol.
For performance, do the responding members suggest for my car to use the 92 octane rating with E10 or use the 89 and add an octane booster, to get to the manufactures recommendations for their minimum octane requirement?
Thanks
