Overnighting in Tonopah, NV while tripping from Tucson to Lake Tahoe.

 

Came across this blast from the past—literally and figuratively—last night and thought it might be fun to share it here. There’s another close-to-30 minute “film” somewhere…

…the actual film is 26 minutes and 4 seconds, which includes the intro to the link I’ve included. It’s on (my?) Google drive and if I knew how to attach it—if I even could being that it is 26:04–I would. Other than the attendees, it’s mostly unseen footage. (The statute—or as Cosmo Kramer would say, “statue”—of limitations has run out). None of us, including me, were aware our friend was filming anything….despite our ever-so-occasionally seeing a GoPro stuck to his car. Who knew??? (It also happens to include some fabulous drone footage taken by my friend Zac). Not sure Steven Spielberg would have done a better job. OK, OK, OK. He surely would have but considering our friend Alen did this on his own, with his brother’s help…it’s still a pleasure to watch. As I just did.

Just picked this beauty up a couple of days ago. Traded in a FBO stage 2 tuned 2015 BMW M235 for it. It's a 2016 V6 Base in IRR. Premium and vision pack, extended leather, performance seats, red seat belts, Orbit wheels, Illuminated treadplates, and switchable exhaust. It's a 2 owner car from Florida with 42k miles and is in amazing condition. Loving it so far!

I've been a member here for a while now. I was over on the S Type group. I still have the S Type (for now). I picked up my "New" F Type last weekend. It's a V8S convertible fully loaded(?). I need to find an owner's manual as I didn't get one with the car and the previous owner hasn't responded to any requests to look for it. The car is fantastic overall. The PO had some cheap carbon fiber wrap put on all the chrome. I'll be removing it and possibly replacing some chrome pieces with actual carbon parts. More power than I ever thought I would own. The paint is nice. Ultimate Black Pearl according to the paint code. Interior is tan leather and has a light brown(?) top. I'm going to need new tires for it as the rears are pretty worn out.
