Default Oil Level : unavailable

Hi,
I have followed the guidance on the forum and drove car around then tried again to get a reading. It still displays “Unavailable “. It is a 2016 F-type that I have only put a few hundred miles on it since I bought it from a dealership.
I can’t believe that the oil level would be low and cause this. Could it be a sensor or something else?

Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks!

You have to wait at least 10 minutes after turning the engine off.

The above suggestion is correct.

Unavailable doesn't mean the level is low, it means the reading er, unavailable. As others have said, wait 10 minutes after turning the engine off. Or check it first thing in the morning before you start. Oh, and make sure the car is on dead level ground or the reading will be inaccurate.

You don’t have to wait.
Open the bonnet.
Select oil level.
Push Cancel twice in succession.

Or, much, much simpler....check it in the morning before starting the engine. The "10 minute" interval is to allow the circulating oil to drain back into the sump. Checking it after an overnight rest does exactly the same thing, except that you will feel neither frustrated nor mystified.

Default Thanks!

Thanks for all the responses! I left it overnight and it worked fine the next day.
