You crack me up, Q&C, that comment is great! Now my question...I’m pretty sure I read in the Forum a while back that powder coating was more brittle, more susceptible to chipping on wheels than painting them. Now, is there a concensus which of these options (powder coating or painting) is more durable for wheels...less chipping? Help!!

By a big margin, paint, its the reason all manufacturers use high-solids clear coat paint on wheels. Even the penny-pinchers.
One could say the research and experimentation has been done for us.

Just FYI, If you need to ship wheels, look into shipping through Fastenal. Box them, tape them/shrink wrap to a small pallet and they have great store to store shipping rates, even across country. I've used them 2-3 times, saved a ton of money. And in each case there was a store near me to drop off and also near the other party to pick up at.

So how does it work? You essentially hand them 4 boxed wheels and tires and then what? They put them on a pallet and take it from there? Can I ask the shipping costs you've incurred in the past?

So my understanding is they have trucks constantly going between the stores, so they offer discounted rates for third party transport - they include it on trucks that have space. Here is a link: https://www.fastenal.com/en/22/3pl-t...arty-logistics

So get a quote for the approximate weight and size between the two stores, and then they give you an order number/lable and you can just drop it off at the closest fastenal location. They will want the goods on a pallet, I usually grab a pallet from a construction site or behind a store, one time I even found one next the the Fastenal's dumpster - go as small as you can - 24" x 48", then stack the wheels. I've found they are helpful at the stores and they wrapped the pallet for me. Last set of wheels and tires shipped 2/3 way across country was approximately $160. They will want you to estimate the weight, I went with 300lbs and they were cool with that.
