Hi

Vielen lieben Dank.

Gruss Gary

You'll get more responses in English.

To answer your question, Getting a hold of a P7 grill is an involved process. You have to have a VIN from an actual P7 to order the parts.

Hi

Sorry, I just found out he's from germany so I asked in german. Yes, I was curious which parts I exactly need. I ordered the Grill from PP but that's a disaster!
So have you got a VIN from a P7? What else do I need?

How much is everyone paying for the OEM P7 grille setup? I got quoted over $900 for the P7 grille + the surrounding trim piece.

Also, anyone have any experience with the carbon fiber knockoffs from China/eBay?

I want to say I paid around $450 shipped from an out of state jaguar dealership. No one has had a good experience with knock off parts...

Manual:
Dismantling the previous front bumper
Expansion of the previous grill
Clipping of the parking sensor adapter into the honeycombs (5th honeycomb from the center)
Mounting the Straight Park Sensors (The straight sensors are invisible from the front)
Removing the Styropor behind the old grill
Paint the crossbar and the cooler behind the old grill in matt black
Disconnect the cables from the old parking sensors
Extend the cables of the parking sensors
Lay the cables of the parking sensors towards the grill edge on the back of the honeycombs with 2K glue
Installation of the new grill and installation of the front bumper
Adjustment and alignment of the new parking sensors
Attach my own Stoh n sho license plate

Costs:
P7 Grill and Surround approx 320 €
Painting the surround 60 €
2 3D adapter 40 €
2 Straight parking sensors 26 €
Cable 2 €
Paint Blackmatt 5 €
Installation and set-up of park sensors 470 €
License plate: free of a friend

Total: 923 €

For a front grille quite a bit, but I find the result very great!

A good news still for those interested in the 3D adapter. These are now ready and I have this with me. More about pm.

Nice ^^

I'm assuming you fiberglassed the center pieces? Would like killer if you painted the mesh gloss black and paint matched the grille outer.

I am going to need to pick your brain on some detail on this. Any plans on replacing the sensors?

First of all, I would like to inform you that it is a successful job.

For my taste, however, the honeycombs would be too close to each other.
I would also make the grid black.
For me, the original P7 grill looks more consistent.

Could you mount the front sensors on this grill? I do not see any in the pictures.

Before I start butchering my P7 surround, Has anyone else resolved the tow hook issue yet for the conversion?

bryklug2001,
I think it looks great.
It makes the car more individual, removes that ugly crossbar, and follows the tradition of Jaguars.
Mesh grills have been on many higher-performance Jaguars for many years.
The grill area looks larger and more akin to an exotic. I also like the chrome mesh in the side vents, as a contrast against the dark color (I would do these in black if the car was red or light blue).

Kudos to you

Finally did it! Thanks to @Meister_Kajo for the Adapters from the 3D printer! Also did the SVR hood vents and some paint jobs from white to black...

Ah! I want to do this so bad - I also have a white R - it looks awesome with the P7 grille. What was your source?

A guy from the facebook group got me a P7 VIN and my friend who works at Jaguar Switzerland, ordered me the grill... It was hard to get a P7 VIN and the grill isn't cheap either (around 1000 swiss francs) but it's totally worth it! Front end looks so much cleaner now.

I'm hitting the same issue with needing a P7 vin number. Does anyone have one they could share? It would be greatly appreciated
