I have neither the patience nor the clean room and will be opting to have a professional apply the protection.
If applied as directed these products penetrate and evaporate so quickly that nothing sticks (see videos on YouTube)... If it was to be tacky the directions wouldn't say "buff high spots with a microfiber cloth" as this would surely leave fiber particles behind. There is nothing wrong with paying someone to do this for you, but if you have time and like to tinker it's user friendly enough that you can do it yourself, get the same results and have a few bucks left over for a nice dinner and drinks.

It does take some time and patience. As I wrote in the write up, the hardest part is prepping the paint for the application of the coating. The Washing, claying, swirl removal, and cleaning. Actually applying the Pinnacle Coating is a breeze/walk in the park. Plus it's not as hard as people make it out to be especially if you're working with the Pinnacle Coatings. It's takes a little research and questions asking, that's it. Detailing a car is just taking your time and making sure you do things right.

But here's the thing you want to consider: Do you want to pay $500-800+ every 2-3 years for a detailer to do it for you OR do you just want to spend the $500-800+ (That's including everything: Shampoo, clay, polisher with pads, and the Pinnacle Coating products) ONE TIME and be able to do it yourself for the next 10-20 years.

And this is how I get that figure: You can coat your car with the Pinnacle Black Label Surface Coating 8oz bottle about 10-15 times on average. Let's say at maximum the coating only lasts you 2 years (it's typically 3 years) every time you apply it. And lets say you accidentally used a lot of the coating per each application or you're possibly coating an SUV and you only get 8 applications out of that 8 oz bottle (Worst case scenario). 2 years x 8 applications = 16 years. That's right, that one bottle will last you 16 years of a nano-ceramic glass coated vehicle.

I'm just saying! A lot of people may just pork out the money every 2-3 years so they don't have to do the work which is perfectly fine. But if you're someone who just isn't too up to date with coatings and you're curious, then I hope this helped you.

Not only are you going to save a bunch of money, not only are you going to make sure it's done right because you're the one that's doing it, but it can also be a very fun and addicting hobby. I love every time i clean up my car and put something crazy on it and stand back and admire what I have done. It's a great feeling. Thanks for reading

Those are all very valid points. I was a do-it-yourselfer for years and probably have 50 or more clay and surface prep jobs under my belt. It is tremendously satisfying after putting in all that considerable effort. But, I've never used one of the modern coatings, and it's good to hear how easy that part is.

I just have too many other things to do now.

I am allergic to chemicals, and the last time that I tried to clean my car I ended up with a pneumonia. But I do love watching the guy that polishes my car go through all the process of having it really perfect before applying the coat, then in between coatings, every two to three months I have the gentleman to apply Swissvax Concorso on them.
