Default Performance Tuning a 2014 F-Type S V8?

Wondered if any has had experience performance tuning a 2014 F-Type s V8?

The most popular tune seems to be a pully change and ECM programming change from Velocity/AP, but are there any others that I should look at?

If you have tuned this engine with Velocity/AP, did you have any issues or unresolved error codes? How were they to work with when you encountered issues? Also, do they support reversion to the factory tune if you want to go back?

thanks!

The V8's (R/S V8/SVR) are all essentially the same engine. There are limited options, but will say the most pervasive and highly tested (and number of tunes in the wild) is the VAP products. They have lots of good results and happy customers and are great to work with. There are other options, but as you search, you will see mixed results.

Safe bet is VAP, and they provide good performance/support/quality.

You retain a copy of your factory tune on the flash device if you want to flash it back...you do it yourself the same easy way...However, it WILL be detected by any OEM Dx software.

I have the VAP tune only (Stage 1) for my 2014 V8 S. Very pleased and no issues.

Install was exactly as instructed, with no issues.
VAP was quick to turn around the custom tune.
No codes or warning lights. VAP does warn a check engine light in the first few ignition cycles. I recall my check engine went away after about four startups.
VAP has quick communication. I have had no issues or questions with the tuning, but peppered them questions on their lowering springs and sales, and they get back with 24.

thanks for the advice. When you say the OEM Diagnostic software will detect the non-factory tune are you referring to dealer diagnosis? If so, what is the concern?
thanks

Yes, people with later year models may be worried about potentially voiding their warranty

Yes...SDD or Pathfinder. No concern on my end. You asked if you kept the original file, which you do, but clarifying anytime you flash it leaves a code/flag. If you have/had a warranty, CPO, or Aftermarket warranty they can tell the car is modified, and could deny a claim. That's it.

I have a V8s and have no issues with the tune itself. I also have cats installed and a Vap exhaust on the way now. Hell, I was running the wrong tune for quite awhile because I installed the cats and didn't put in the tune to go with it. Car drive drove fine.
