Default Permanently Disable Eco Start / Stop Function -- 2018 F-type

I recently purchased a 2018 F-type, and have been completely frustrated with having to remember to hit the "off" button on the Start / Stop feature.
The dealership has been zero help, supposedly because having this feature default to "on" is part of their fuel mileage calculation and to disable it would be against the law. If so, I get that, but it would be nice for them to at least tell me how to disable it, or point me in the right direction.
Anyhow, does anybody out there have a solution for this issue? I'm sure that this is "software" controlled, and if you knew what you were doing, you could fairly easily change the default to "off" from "on".
Thanks

if you disconnect the second small battery (towards front in the middle)in the trunk area and tie it off and wrap some insulating tape around it(remove wire from top left area of battery) , that should stop the eco start and have no dash lights.
i know this works for earlier f-types don't know for sure with '18's

That battery disappeared somewhere around '16. But there's a thread on disabling ECO here, if you search enough.

With the lithium battery installed, the eco-stop never engages.

Fully charged voltage on the lithium is not as high as on a lead battery.

Have followed the disconnect thread and until 3 days ago had left things connected.
With it disconnected the car seems much more "fluid", no disconcerting stop/starting, quiet / small jerk on restarting.
Very pleased to not have the stop-start.
Try it, you'll like it.
