Pizza'd!!
So, took the Jag to collect the take-out pizza last night.
The pizza delivery guy was impressed. but then went on to tell me he had just bought an Aston Martin Vanquish (12 cylinder)!!
Talk about gutted!!
Though, I am guessing that even with all the Jag issues discussed here, the Vanquish will have a lot more, much more expensive, problems!!
Still happy with the R-Dynamic.

most of my vehicles have their own purpose (one for snow, long road trips, hauling etc) the f type is my Friday pizza pick up car and I require that much HP because I like my food hot, but I also went to school for a while and spent years building a career to have to get here - if I knew I could have stayed in the “pizza game” and still had a stable of cars, I would have avoided all the academics. I’m clearly doing something wrong if the pizza guy is rolling an Aston.
Maybe the delivery guy has a lot of drug dealer clientele who get the munchies and then give him huge tips ? Or he bought a flood salvaged Vanquish for pennies on the dollar that was retrieved after a recent hurricane somewhere.
Maybe CJSJAG is a very generous tipper?

You can pick up an old V12 Vanquish for $20k to $30k. There's even one on Autotrader right now for like $18k. Probably still not easily affordable at pizza salaries, but definitely doable if you're into making poor decisions. Most likely he'll have to sell when it breaks down, but for now he's living high on life.
When I was younger and a bit dumber, and just getting started in my career, I considered buying a Ferrari 308 when they hit their depreciation floor. You could pick up an 'ok' one for about $35k, and at the time it would have been a doable stretch-goal for me. And in hindsight, considering they're back up around $60-80k now, it might not have been a terrible decision, but I would never have been able to afford that clutch and belt service back then. lol
