Potential Lease (NJ)
I have been looking into picking up a Jagaur F-type. I am based in NJ & I need some help.
F-TYPE R to be specific. I have no preference as far as coupe or convertible.
So I found an MSRP of $114k with a selling price of $94k. I called the dealer and asked to have lease numbers drawn up, to be told that the selling price would be $107k if I leased, not their advertised $94k selling price. That didn't make sense to me at all.
Can anyone confirm this is true? I have never heard of such thing to be honest.
I am looking to lease an F-TYPE R, 36 mos, 10k miles per-year, with JUST first month payment out of pocket.
Does anyone have any around number as to what I'd be looking at per-month?

This is true. They get a ~16k rebate from Jaguar on the 2016 Type R. You can not use any special financing including a lease with it. Your best option would be to do a jumbo balloon with Penfed. Its called a Payment saver loan. You still take the chase the market could drop on the cars however if you buy it right you should be fine.
Just for comparison I would expect a $114.5k sticker Type R Cab to go for $87.5k.

This is not consistent with my experience. I leased a 2016, did not use Jaguar's financial services, but still received the full rebate.
Talk to another dealer and see what they say. If there is a specific car you want from dealer A, then dealer B can trade and get of for you if needed.

Found a dealer with an $111k F-TYPE R. The list the selling price on their website as $86k (only if you buy it). I am looking to lease though. They said they could do $107k selling price (+$3k rebate) to bring the selling price to $104k.
How much lower on the selling price can I get?
