Not really, you can open the driver's door with the emergency key (in the fob), and then open the bonnet/hood. At this point you can connect to the underbonnet/hood booster terminals (cancel the alarm immediately!) and start the engine, open the boot, etc.

Thanks for the reply,
I mis-remembered, that is actually what happened; I did remember the "emergency" key in the FOB, and pulled back the driver-side handle to expose the key slot and did get in that way, and utilized the under hood terminals to jump it.
Happy to find out the hood latch is mechanically Operated, not electric... that would have been a bad day.

My battery is 6+ years old, so a replacement isn’t too far off.
Yes, a small lithium battery that I keep in the cubby behind the two seats. As FtypeV6 says, storing anything in the glove box is futile if the power is gone.

Hmm, my rear cubby has a locking door. Guessing that wouldn’t open either without power.

If it's not mechanical but electric operation, I would say no it will not open.
I found it interesting that although there are other Jag models with electric trunk release you can still manually get in using various methods built in to do so, YouTube is full of the ways to get in the "Boot" of other models, but there seems to be no way for the F-TYPE.
But accessing the cockpit with the FOB Emergency key, popping the hood and getting power to the "Jump Box" behind the passenger side headlight will get you power to start and I assume get the trunk open as well if that was a particular immediate need..
Once I discovered the Bonnet/Hood "Jump Box" all my power problems were solved and we were off for our Sunday Drive... and then so started this Battery Issue Thread... That has been so helpful to me, Thank You to All...

Does that one rely on an electrical latch?

Our '14 'Vert locks the cubby between the seats (as well as the glovebox) if I lock the doors with the top down, so it must have SOMETHING that relies on 'Boltage'.

The cubby release feels mechanical to me, with the car unlocked.
