Project 8 - not mine
I sold my self-built custom car (Google "Kimini") years ago, and the third owner recently contacted me. Seems he has quite the stable of interesting cars, which includes of all things, a Project 8, one of only a few dozen imported to the US. I knew nothing about them so watched a few videos, and while I respect what Jag created, I don't feel I'm missing anything (on the street, at least), and am happy to own a '15 R. Same drivetrain, a bit more power, (probably) much better suspension, but meh, for what went for $180K new, I still like the looks and performance of my R. Good thing they aren't around so I can't drive one and think otherwise

I drove these P8s at Palm Beach International Raceway. I felt that the handling, brakes, and balance were very good, compared with the Rs, which I also drove.

Nurburgring time. Another P8.
That's gotta be his "I don't want to sell it" price.

I think the Project cars are neat collector's items, but I wouldn't feel right about having one as a regular driver. I've always had toys, but never qualified or felt like a collector. I prefer to own cars that are fun, and then drive them.
My son has a 4 year old GT3 that sits on a rack most of the year and may/may not have completed break-in. It's just not my mindset.

I'd be scared to drive it on the street, even with (expensive) insurance. I think it would be terrifying on-track, not because of the speed or handling, but fearing damaging it in some way. I've seen enough incidents at trackday events to know that sometimes, it doesn't matter how good you or your car is, sometimes bad things just happen (like another car's brakes failing and them hitting you). I can't imagine what fixing even slight damage to one of those carbon pieces would run, but that's just me.

You can watch that lap on youtube. As a casual sim racing nerd who has done the track hundreds of times on project cars or motorsport, it is worth the 7 minutes spent.
The car itself is incredible. It is a bit of a shame that the interior is basically the first gen XE when the second was so much improved. I know that it isnt the point of the car, but still...
