Some dealers will happily swap parts at someone else's expense until the problem goes away, rather than actually diagnose the fault.

I would be willing to bet you had a cascade of unfortunate issues here.

Clearly someone installed a non-OEM SC pulley at some point on the car. Nobody seems to know where a red pulley would come from, so who knows if it's even meant for the car. It's not an easy thing to DIY, so who knows what the quality of that installation is. Smaller SC pulley requires a slightly smaller than OE belt to make up for the difference. I'd be interested to know what the diameter of that red pulley is vs the OE pulley.

That said, your video, to my ear, is 100% bearing noise. I had a 98 Cobra with a procharger on it that had the bearings in the idler pulley go bad, and it sounded exactly like that. I'd be willing to bet you had failing bearings in that upper pulley to begin with, the larger crank pulley started spinning it faster accelerating the bearing failure due to RPM & heat, and possibly a belt length/tension issue depending upon if that red pulley is OE size or not.

Idk the right way to ask, without looking guilty.. one item is vague and just supercharger kit. I don't have the means to get under the car pull the trey off and check myself so I've have been taking it moderately easy on the car

The supercharger kit is nothing more than the snout assembly which includes the upper pulley. The lower pulley is not in this list of parts.

so then its gonna be in my best interest to get the oem pulley back on the oar because Idkhow bad that offset is.
then starts the problem of them covering warranty with that big black pulley on their and if something else goes wrong and the next time it comes in with a small gray pulley. Geez what a pickle 🤦‍♂️

It's almost like I'm trapped with it

See this thread in the XK150 section: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...nstall-235723/
Almost the identical problem to yours - after-market "red" SC pulley and belt fallen off/broken.

Scary similar.. this is my 3rd round with a 5.0 supercharged. I upper pulleyed my previous 2 xkr's. They were both black. I can't believe that purple pulley made it past the 165 point cpo inspection to qualify it before they sold it to me

I expect that'd be point 166!
