Default Rag top wear

Any one else with an older F-Type convertible seeing some signs of wear? There are a few spots on mine which are starting to look a bit abraded. I suspect it’s happening when it’s folded away as ther has been nothing external which is likely to have caused it.

FWIW, I'm in the same vintage, but my (black) top looks fine. You can see a bit of a ripple where it folds, but not particularly noticeable. No frays or pulls.

No real words of advice, but, here's my usage and care profile as a reference. In NC, our weather runs a wider range than you get in Sydney. Lows in the winter average in the low 30's; highs in summer average in the upper 80's, and there are plenty of days 10 degrees or so beyond the averages. The car stays garaged when at home. I leave the top down most of the summer (not really following the instructions that you should keep it up when not in use). That probably means a bit less movement wear, but a bit more prone to wrinkles. Minimal wash / soap wear. I use 303, but probably only about once a year.

I've had streaks where the black top looks a bit faded near the roof structure, but those mostly go away when I scrub and reproof the roof yearly.

My '14 is hoding up well but a few fold marks. Did cleaning this year and it looked great all summer, I used Chemical Guys but plenty of good products. Going to do it again but we don't really have seasons. Weather gets cooler, 80's day time maybe 60's at night so roof is down a lot. No real rain till Jan.

I don’t have a convertible but I once owned an E46 M3 Convertible and I found regularly cleaning and protecting the top with HAARTZ Raggtop products definitely removed or concealed most wear areas.
