Default Rear view mirror removal?

Does anyone know how to remove the rear view mirror on the F-type convertible? I want to send it off and see if I can get the Valentine1 remote display put in. I've added pictures of the mount, you can see what might be a locking tang on the driver's side, but attempts to rotate the assembly make me worry I'll snap it off the glass if I push any harder...

For that matter if anyone knows where to get a good (not Chilton) repair books or a DVD let me know?

Thanks

How did u get the plastic cover off? I want to install a mirror tap but am afraid of breaking the tabs on the cover.

The plastic pieces come apart quite easily, I didn't need any tools. There are 4 tabs as you can see from the picture

Self update. Rotate the mirror about 45 degrees clockwise and the mirror comes off.
