Really appreciate all the nice pics and input guys. It has helped me close the deal in my head. At this point I'm going with the red interior. It will line up with that Eiger grey exterior quite nicely I think. Makes me think of a Honda s2000 that a friend of mine had many moons ago in my younger days. It was a good combo...

In the early stages of cross shopping (911, LC500, F-type, Corvette Z06, considered Emira but no dealer in my city) I actually sat in an Indus Silver F-type R with full red leather interior on the dealer floor. Both my wife and I thought it was pretty amazing. I was still thinking black interior then, but I've come around. You guys helped give me the extra courage to do it LOL

99.9% red interior is the direction. Apparently I have until the end of August to make any changes for my allocation. That is the cutoff for changes.

I ended up going with the tan full leather upgrade on my F Type. I do have to say though that I like the half & half option like scm's photo but the shade of red is still not to my preference.
I kinda know what you mean. I have a buddy with a Mercedes that has a darker red like you are describing. I think I would prefer that as well, but I actually don't find this red to be too much....Not on this car anyway...Tan is nice as well...Definitely some good choice...Can't do white though...

This would have been a nice way to ease into a red interior for the first time ;-)

I could be wrong, but my memory is that this half and half option was not bring the extended full leather? Is that the case?
It appealed to me as I felt an all red interior was a bit too loud for me. But I do have extended full leather - it was originally a Jaguar management car so was quite well specced, which I got at a year old with 1300 (count 'em!) miles on the clock.

I've got the split tan/ebony and I love that option. It is too bad they stopped offering the split option (which keeps the dash black)..

My US car has the Alcantara on the dash hump, the grab handle in the middle extending all around the shifter area and on top of the vents. This was standard for my year SVR and I do not know if it was an option available for other models.

This was my SVR interior which had the the lower center console area and cup holder finished in red. That same area is all black in my current R which helps tone it down a notch.

Pretty fancy with pleating both on the doors and the seats. Nice.
