Default Ridiculous deal in LA on refurbished $109,000 F Type V8S

I got mine new with no miles from these guys so I can't comment on their refurbished models, but this seems like a really good deal. If the monthly lease payment is only $649/mo that must mean they'll sell it to you for like $70,000.

I saw the white V8 S demonstrator on their specials list last week and thought it was a good deal. I might have looked at it myself if I hadn't already gotten mine. The one you found at $649/mo. sounds almost too good to be true. It doesn't really say what was repaired. Could have been a blown motor or a salesman took out a curb. Regardless, someone will end up with it at a good price.

I have a fully loaded V8S I paid $114k new.

Dealer here in SF offered me $77k for it, 10months old 4500 miles and (perfect aesthetics etc).

Should give you some idea of what they are worth...

I've suffered the same problem in the past. Heavily loaded cars always suffer proportionally more depreciation as the options don't retain much value (or at least that's the position the dealers will take). With that said, I'd certainly expected more than 77k for that car. They'd certainly list it for more if they put it on their forecourt. Cars with few to no options always do better in terms of value retention, but then again certain key options make the car what it is. Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet...

The F-Type's options are more "worth it" than options on other cars though, in my opinion.

the extended leather which replaces the plastic on the dash is nice
the performance seats are practical and look nice
the vision pack is super helpful for example for automatically retracting your mirrors
the bigger engine/sound (although fuel economy goes down a lot)
the performance setting feature is probably not that useful though although people who like gadgets would like to play with it
the heated seats are necessary for a convertible
. . .

Curious how yours fully optioned was $114k, or are you including tax.

And you can't compare what one dealer will give you for your car.... That hardly sets a market price. Where do you live? What color? Maybe you're in The north where convertibles aren't desirable in winter.

And AlexG, I can see clear as day what you drive color wise and where you are... But my point is still valid, dealers offer you dick for your car. Sell it online if you wanna dump it. Post it in other markets and including shipping in your price...

MMR values on the Jag V8S... please keep in mind these are not retail prices but auction prices that don't include fees, transport, recon (if needed), etc but it gives you an idea of what a dealer may give:

I'm well aware of my options thanks. I have the murdered black Vette with all the upgrades except the carbon fibre bits on the wing mirrors and vents. Its highly desireable and a head turner but still worth no more than a weird colour with fewer options it seems. $114k new was including tax. I was expecting something around $85k from the dealer so $77k seemed a little low. i will never sell them a car upon this quote. Anyway, I'm not going to sell despite nearly going for a black 2012 458 but I changed my mind after a long drive with the F-Type. It really is an enjoyable car and so easy going.
