Service question
I have been planning to take my car to the dealership for a few issues, but I have some questions first.
My car is a 2014 V6 S, that should still be under a Certified Pre Owned warranty.
I have a recall for 'Seatbelt Tension Sensor Harness Connector' which seems pretty low priority but I want to get it fixed.
I also would like to get the 'speaker rattle' issue fixed, which I believe is the same as 'JTB00432'.
But, the most urgent issue is a CEL light. I checked the code myself and it is P0062, "O2S Heater Control Circuit". I've been reading up, and it seems like the O2 sensors are a common problem on this car? Specifically, I see talk of a software update that fixes the problem instead of replacing the actual O2 sensor. This is all fine, but I don't know if there is an official 'TSB' that would be covered under warranty, and more worryingly, I heard that some software updates ruin the exhaust note of the car??! I'm really surprised by that, and I obviously don't want that to happen. I mostly do my own maintenance and the only other time the car was at the dealership since I bought it in 2017 was to have a second key programmed for the car. During that visit, I am pretty sure they did SOMETHING to the software, but I have not noticed a change in the exhaust note (but I didn't even think to listen for it, and now I am used to its current sound)
So, how can I be sure what 'software' my exhaust is using now, and how can I be sure they don't screw it up when fixing the O2 sensor problem?

The TSB is for a more specific VIN range and involves a new O2 sensor plus updating the PCM software. That is just a tech note so you would have to pay to have that work done if it is required and you don't have any warranty.
This year I had one O2 sensor replaced (under warranty) I also had them do the seat belt tension recall . For the software update that seems to make the car quieter, I have a sheet of paper that says, do not do software update X, that I lay on the seat when I go to service. This seems to work. Good luck.
