I only have 1500 miles and my service is due in 100 miles. It was a bad winter and I didn't drive the car much. I know I probably should do the service now, but if I don't how do you remove the service reminder.?

Had the same problem. Take it to the dealer. They need to reset the service interval timer. Dunno how true it is, but my dealer did give me a reason. He claimed that the cars sit for a variable amount of time. The service indicator should be reset when the car is sold. YMMV

 

After somewhere between 7000-8000 miles, mine said service was due in 1350 miles (only saw that once). But based on my mileage, that worked out quite close to 12 months since I took delivery.

 

Mine indicated service was due at 1 year. I was pleasantly surprised that it was free, and I didn't buy from a dealer.
