ck engine was on for 3 starts now its gone and service required shows just before start or maybe just after start . is this the norm after installing tune

 

When was ur car last serviced?

 

The service reminder has nothing at all to do with the CEL or the tune...it is purely related to the time since the last service, nothing more.

Miles or annually if you haven't done the miles.

 

Goes by MILES or TIME (if the mileage isn't accumulated within a year).

Funny thing is, when our car reaches the 11th month since the last oil change, a dash message appears that says "Service Due in 1000 miles" or similar. The closer you get to the one-year anniversary, the less miles in the SERVICE DUE message.

 

I keep hearing about these messages but I have yet to ever have seen one...and I have had mine since late '17 and am just shy of 60K miles...

 

Is yours a 2016 or 2017 model year? Some of them fail to display the service due message in the car. Although strangely it did still appear in the incontrol app. I had this issue on my 2017 SVR. The dealers are aware of the issue and there is a patch they can apply to fix it. Works since then
