Default Side skirt / trim dilemma - Looking for ...

I ordered the glassy black side skirts to install on my 2016 F - S Coupe. After reading about all the work needed to install them, I decided to cancel the order and leave the car as is. However, I am perplexed by the number of posts I have seen on the web of people wanting to remove them. I for one really like the look of them. Having said all that, if anyone is interested in selling their removed skirts, let me know.

Thanks

All a matter of taste. If I had had to, I would have paid more to get the car skirtless (get your minds out of the gutter). The car is so much more sleek and elegant without them. If I were to add skirts, they would be vertical and functional for ground effect, not horizontal for aesthetic effect.

Yep, after looking at all the pics on here of F-Types without skirts, with skirts, with body coloured skirts, with black skirts etc etc etc, I'm very happy mine is skirtless!

You don't think it looks like something is missing? Here is my 16 without the skirts.

I have the skirts but they are a pain. Too wide (sports design pack), makes it harder to get in and out, collect dust and get watermarks. In the body colour they make the car look fat and you lose the waist. I had mine wrapped black which improves it, yours would look nice with black skirts but doesnt "need" them.

I have never liked the "new" design of the side skirts (came in 2016 I think?), but I think the very first one looks good.

Here is mine in Firesand. I think they blend really nicely and make the cars lines flow better, at least in this color they seem to work well. I am not saying it is a right or wrong to have or have not.
It does come down to personal taste.... just like color choice. Some people I meet love the Firesand color and say it is exotic looking car other say it looks like a squashed pumpkin in firesand.

+1. IMO, they all look or would look better without them.
To my eye:
with - boy racer
without - swave & deboyner. lol

On every previous car I had / wanted I loved sideskirts in black, as a decent underbody sports look. F-Type is the first car, where I probably prefer it without them. As most people here I don't like the wide colored ones, and I am so-so on the black older ones. I like them, but I also like the "waist line" of the naked car somehow. Looks very special, no many cars have that line so great. Interestingly, on Lotus Evora which has similar waist I hate it and prefer side skrits. F-Type just have it "just right" I suppose.
