Been on here a little more than I'd like recently...I have noticed a very slight noise every time my RPMs drop to 1000. It almost sounds like a hiss but could also be a light creak. It's only noticeable with the top down. It's the same issue as described here except I haven't noticed a ticking sound

I'm thinking either active exhaust or vacuum pump? Both probably not covered by extended warranty...

I don’t think your 2017 has the vacuum pump (I never remember when they switched to using engine vacuum.) Mine sounds like a buzzing heat shield, but I only hear it at slow speeds. My valves also make an unpleasant noise, which is why I use a dongle to defeat the F43 fuse that powers the vacuum pump.
But the noise you hear is likely your exhaust valves as you guessed. Don't know how the valves on the SVR exhaust compare to standard ones.

Yeah I wasn't sure if it was just a direct line to the engine for mine. I think the valves are exactly the same on the SVR. I don't hear the noise if I manually operate the active exhaust or at startup though. It's when I'm idling around and the RPMs drop.Originally Posted by DJS

In my car, after it drops to idle, the exhaust valves seems to open and close a fair amount.

But if it were the exhaust valves I would think it would happen when pushing the active exhaust button or at startup?Originally Posted by DJS

Depending on the MY and software levels, the active exhaust button may, or may not, have any effect on the valves at tickover. When I first got my MY18 the button would open the valves at tickover but after a software update the valves no longer open on the button until about 1500 rpm. Switching dynamic mode on still opens the valves at tickover. My valves open around 3500 rpm regardless of mode or switch.Originally Posted by Brian McCann
