Hi Everyone,

The Smart Top is now available for Pre-Order and costs $379.

I'll definitely be getting one of these. Had a SmartTOP on my 997 and it made a tremendous difference.

Cannot see any details on installation on the web site. Previous posts have said "without tools" but I assume it needs wiring in somehow?

It's a pretty simple plug and play. They will have instructions for the install that come with the kit.

No.

It controls the top remotely and allows one touch open and close.

The Mods4cars Smart Top harness is completed and for those that have ordered you should be seeing them soon. I just received an email that mine is on the way.
Totally plug and play.

That looks awesome. I'll plan on getting one these next spring, when my car wakes up for the season.

Not sure why they needed to speed up the tape to make it seem like their product can open or close the top in 5 seconds. That's pretty deceptive.

Anyone who owns the car knows how long it takes. For those who do, that part of the video is a wasted 12 seconds. It's showing the functionality, not the operation.

Default Hardest Part

Mine is in, hardest part was getting the damned retaining grommet out (fortunately I have a tool for it). Everything else was literally a snap. Maybe 15 minutes including printing/reading the manual, configuration, and looking for a software update (there wasn't one). Set for following configuration:

Function 1 = Setting 1
Function 2 = Setting 4
Function 3 = Setting 4
Function 4 = Setting 2
Function 5 = Setting 2

Love that the top switch now works like I think it should (Up for top down, down for top up). Love this thing!
