Default SmartTop Fob Open/Close Not Working

So I got a SmartTop, installed it and the key fob presses aren't working. The one touch in the car works, but the open / close by pressing the button 3 times doesn't work correctly. I checked the settings and they are both enabled.

Anyone have any ideas or run into this before?

Do you get NO response when pressing the buttons on the fob, or just a problem opening/closing the top? There is a bit of a rhythm to the interval of doing the 3 button presses. But, even if you just get 2 right, you should see a response from the windows. I haven't heard of anyone having issues, so experiment a bit. You may end up having to contact motivemods: Email: support@motivemods.com Phone: (800) 484-0394.

What year is your car? My understanding is that button sequence depends on the year. For my 2017 instead of hitting the lock or unlock the times I must hit lock, unlock, lock to put top up and unlock, lock, unlock to put top down. Also u can’t push the buttons super fast, just push them unhurried.

Sorry for the confusion with my post. The button presses cause the lights to flash, doors to lock and unlock and the mirrors to move, just no response from the top or windows.

I opened a ticket with the place I ordered from (Mods4Cars) but thought I’d ask here since they probably won’t respond being the weekend.

You're a genius. That worked!

I'm guessing that we can't use the windows up / windows down function because of having to use the unlock / lock / unlock as opposed to 3 x unlock? That's something I didn't know about before I spent the money on it and one of the features I would use a good bit.

Support told me that if the car doesn't support the 3 x button presses, then there is no way to raise and lower the windows with the key fob. I really wish that was on their website and disclosed prior to purchase.
