I have another question!

What's the maximum diameter we can run without any rubbing?
My stock v6s setup is 27", it looks like OP's winter setup is 27.7".

At least 1.5” more than OEM with no lowering or spacers.

No.
As stated elsewhere there is no such thing as an OEM Jaguar 18" wheel which will clear the 380 mm front brake calipers. Not F-Type, not XF, not XK, not any Jag wheel.
It is possible that an after-market 18" wheel exists that clears the 380 mm calipers but I've never read or heard of one and it would very likely have to be a custom made wheel at any rate.

Hi Nati,
Were your ashfords the silver mirror before you refinished them?
Thanks...

They were black barrels with a mirror polished face. It was waaaaay too much chrome.

I actually just put on a set of Bridgestone P980AS, stock sizes, and I really like them. They provide a smooter ride than the PZeros and less tire noise. No notable loss of handling either.

Hello all , sorry to revive an old thread but @Forrest Keith experience seemed to mimic what I am starting to appreciate. I am a new ( 6 weeks in ) owner of a low mileage 400 Sport ( 2018) convertible and living in Wisconsin has made me think of things like being prepared for snow in plenty of time. So while I am enjoying the summer drives, I am starting to navigate the ordeal of finding rims etc that will fit and allow me to continue to drive through the winter. There is not much that I could find specific to the 2018 but it seems to have similar brake caliper etc to the OPs 2016 R , hence me adding to this thread.

If anyone has first hand experience with the 400 or knows what rims will fit - I am looking to go with 4 wheels with the same 245/45/19 tire and get wheel spacers for the rears as described. Any help would be much appreciated, this is all very new to me having driven a mini cooper for the past decade and not having to think beyond something that could be ordered off the rack.
thx

Yep, the 400 Sport came stock with the same brakes as the R so 380 mm front and 376 mm rear.
As I said before no OEM Jag 18" wheel will fit over the front 380 mm brake calipers but all OEM F-Type 19" and 20" wheels will fit.
Unless of course you have the CCM brakes (doesn't sound like you do) in which case only two types of OEM 20" F-Type wheels will fit, Maelstrom and Storm.

thanks , am looking at 19" as the ideal. Any idea whether 19" F-Pace OEMs will fit - more of them seem to be out in the wild.

Dunno, maybe yes maybe no. I believe the F-Pace has different brakes to the F-Type so it's possible that F-Pace 19" wheels which fit over F-Pace front brake calipers do not fit over F-Type 380 mm calipers.
There is also the question of possibly quite different wheel offsets, the fronts should be the same or near enough but the rears could be very different, I know XK and XF rear wheel offsets are nothing like F-Type offsets.
At least they have the same bolt pattern, PCD and centre bore so caliper clearance and offsets are all you need to find out about.

My first winter is fast approaching ( actually snuck on me while I was enjoying the last rays of summer ) BUT I was prepared

Fitted the winter wheels this weekend as I didn't have time before there was snow on the ground - they fit perfectly and am looking forward to driving year round.

Summer fun
Front Pirelli 255/35/20 Rim : 9Jx20 ET55
Rear Pirelli 295/30/20 Rim : 10.5Jx20 ET38

Winter:
Satin Black Motegi MR153 19" ( +42 offset )
Rear wheels needed 1.25" hub centric adapter

Had been looking at Nokian Hakkapeliitta but got a killer deal on a set of Pirelli WINTER SOTTOZERO
