Their system is limited by hardware that supports MHL, or has a dedicated HDMI output. Android has the most devices supporting MHL, but I believe iPhone 6 now supports MHL via the Lightning port, so it should be supported as well.

Installation was plug and play if I remember correctly, akin to installing a DVD bypass switch to allow video while the vehicle is in motion (tap the e-brake and nav harnesses, and run the wiring to the center console). Nothing that could not be easily removed before turning the car in at end of lease.

If I recall correctly, the bulk of R&D went into deciphering the in-dash touchscreen and syncing that with the touchscreen on the phone. This R&D would need to be done for the Jaguar system as well.
