Default starting problem

I'm new to site. Had my Co2 sensor replaced last week, unusual for a current year car. It was a part failure. Since then car has had starting problem. It might start or it might take 3-4 tries. It might not star at all, but a few hours later starts no problem. Started no problem this morning and started no problem at dealer, they are looking into it. I hope it reads out something. Has there been any similar problem from anybody else?

Based on the title typo I thought you meant you couldn't look away from your beautiful F-type.

bjg625 - your subject line says "staring problem"

I thought perhaps you were getting ready to admit you have the same problem as me - looking at this website and pics of the F-type while waiting for your car to be delivered. It's a real problem for me.

Good luck with getting the car issue fixed

CO2 sensor, or O2 sensor? I've had 3 O2 sensors replaced, but a bad O2 sensor only activates the 'check engine' light, as far as I know.

I thought he meant he was bothered by everyone staring at the car.

Regarding the 'starting' issue.. you would need to be more specific concerning what its doing. For instance, it doesn't turn over and lights are dead.. or it turns over but won't catch etc. etc.

If it's the O2 sensor then it's a known issue with the part as DJS notes (also see https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/f-type-72/o2-sensor-failure-121516/).

I agree with Lawrence we would need more info on what's happening when you hit the start button.

Turns out dealer error while installing o2 sensor. This dealer hasn't replaced one till mine . Now they have them in stock. It is a part failure problem as they had no problem getting them overnight.

Interesting, I didn't realize that a o2 sensor would cause actual starting problems.
Although the car fuel mixture would be off; at least I remember another car I had a few years ago and the fuel mileage went bad, just as one of the sensors went out ... but it did start ok.
