Stay away from used CCB cars?
Krefly, I have also investigated the Corvette rotors and I think they would work fine if the bolt patter to the hat is the same. I see no reason why it would not. You can find them for $1,000 - 1,200 each. I love my CCB’s and would have not bought an F-Type without them.
i personally wouldn't buy a used car with ceramics as i couldn't confirm how they've been used or abused - for the same reason i don't buy used cars either (unless their collectibles)
i order all my cars with ceramics where possible, but then i also don't track road cars either, i do it principally for the look and clean maintenance (steel brakes on the f-type especially look very weak with the slider calipers and solid discs)
i don't see any drawback to using ceramics on street these days, these latest gen have none of the getting up to temp, pedal feel or noise issues of the first gen, and i know, i have cars in the collection with those og ccb's
as you'd know, for street use the rotors should last the lifetime of your ownership and you only should need to replace pads as consumables. as soon as you start tracking ceramics on a road car, you need to start considering heat management and how well, if any, the manufacturer has provided cooling ducts etc
from the opposite end, i've sold cars with ceramics and tbh the feedback has been about 50/50, some people either want them so it's an easy sell, or they don't and you never hear from them again
