Steering wheel control button not working
My first post on the site. 2014 F Type S is new to me. Can't get the menu buttons on the left side of the steering wheel to work so i can't access the menus. Do I need a new switch? Should I try contact cleaner with it in place or do I need to remove the steering wheel and pop out the control box to try it? Thanks
Hi and WELCOME.
Has your F been retrofitted with CarPlay/Android Auto? Some of those conversions will not operate the buttons.
If your F is stock, it could be the buttons or even the 'clockspring' electrical connection in the steering wheel.
How many miles?

The car is stock as far as I know. How would I know if the CarPlay/Android Auto is installed? It paired up with my Samsung phone (android) very easily when I first got it in February. It has 26,000 miles on it.
Oh Yeah, they also render the NAV system inop since the SAT/NAV antenna is hooked up to the adapter.

At 26K miles it is unlikely to have a broken clockspring, tho' replacing the 'sticky button' issue sometimes requires removal of the steering wheel controls....
?? My menu options aren’t limited while driving, or not limited much.
