The OP has responded a few times but is still yet to let us know what tyres he/she is rolling on!
And not just what tyres but how old/worn, and how long since the last alignment.

 

Tires are Firehawk Indy 500 summer tires that came with the vehicle when I purchased. They still have about 70 pct tread left.

Well, those tires do get good ratings, so they should provide adequate handling. Quite frankly, I would like to see the Volt chase the Jag around a typical cloverleaf interchange corner. I suspect the Volt would be quite down on grip by comparison.
