Since this has come up at times on various threads, I thought I would provide an actual application of this. I ordered the primed SVR Vents (the CF versions are ~$1750 USD Each!). Got them painted with the same Porsche (generic) Black and Cleared as my Project 7 Grille Surround, and installed them today. A lot of the structure of the Vent opening will show through these, so I wrapped the opening solid parts with Black Gloss Vinyl, so it disappeared after install (the white really showed!).
In Jaguar fashion, they sent the vents, but they DO NOT include the needed 8 clips to install them. I just reused the old ones, by carefully removing them from the original and re-installing on the new SVRs. They fit perfect, and I like the look (but to each his own). If you like the OEM R's better...Great.
Took a few pics for reference and comparison, so you can see they are the same and do fit. Would be very easy to swap back also. Nothing broke! You can use needle nose pliers to compress the clips and carefully push out, to remove.
