Default 2015 f type R - SVR Kit

Hi all

long time lurker here - finally bought my 2015 RWD F Type R in November and have been tinkering with the styling since to get it more my kinda style.

always loved the SVR styling so went ahead and fit the motorised spoiler and then the side rockers, and fenders with air vents.

love the look now - I know it’s not to everyone’s taste but I love the aggressive look of the SVR kit.

thought I’d document it here as I haven’t seen it done in any other posts - so if anyone has any questions about it feel free to drop them to me. Everything was pretty much an easy swap with the right parts ordered.

Looks great!
Do you think it would be possible to install SVR side rockers on non-SVR fenders?

No i don't think so - you could install the R rockers, but the SVR Rockers have an insert to take the inner and outer fender pieces - that's my understanding

what if I would swap only lower part from SVR rocker (yellow marked) into top part of R rocker?

i initially thought these were two separate parts as I thought I would have to bolt the bottom of my R rockers to the SVR parts but turns out they are one piece
at least i think they are

How does the fender piece go on? Bolt, clip, glue or welded?

Great! Always wanted to do this.
You didn’t mess with the rear or the front bumpers?

just curious what the total cost was without paint? Did you do it yourself or have a shop do it?

you have to get the SVR rockers - which has 2 slots - one for the inner fender and one for the outer fender

so to achieve the outer fender look you need
new inner fenders, new outer fenders, the little finishing vents and then the rockers

didn’t touch the front or back -

finisher pieces were £216
inner fenders £730
outer fenders £580
rockers £870

total - £2396

I managed to get them all in for about £2k sourcing a few bits off eBay n that

The Spoiler depends if you want it fully motorised (I went for that)
it’ll set you back about £2400 for legit parts - carbon fibre etc.

you could knock a few hundred off that if you can get a second hand spoiler.

The motor is expensive - about £1300

looks amazing! very nice, the SVR is the ultimate F type. I would like to know how easily the spoiler was mounted and how easily the active aero was to disable as I assume you had to pull a fuse or something. Also where did you get the SVR spoiler from and general cost to install it, I would think a non active spoiler would be easy but yours has the active aero function, does the whole deck lid get replaced as well? Id love to ad the SVR spoiler to my 16 R.

spoiler was easy to do,

comes In a few bits - spoiler / mount plate(bootlid) and mechanism

you just unscrew the current bootlid (easy)

then you need a torx security 27 5 star screwdriver to remove the plate covering the mechanism.

you then unscrew the mechanism / and replace with new one - then just replace everything using the new boot lid.

you can get fully painted kits on eBay - would recommend that - saves you having to get it painted and also having to blag the parts from jag ( they are funny unless you give them an SVR vin )

but with a fully painted kit you can switch it out in about half an hour if you’ve got the torx t27 5 point security bit and the a torx t30 I think.

you can have a look for take off parts on eBay - might get a cheap spoiler there if you want to be bothered sourcing stuff individually.

if you are serious I can give you all the part numbers you need

I'd be very keen to know the part number and any challenges.

I would like to get the part numbers. Im going to probably opt for the fixed SVR spoiler, mostly because I don't want to spend the money for the motor, but I'll see what prices are on eBay. So if I want to go with the fixed option I need to purchase the SVR spoiler and the deck mount (bootlid) so I won't need to drill holes to mount the SVR spoiler into my factory decklid. Does the Spoiler and decklid come as a package or separately?

I tried searching on ebay and didn't find anything but I probably need the part numbers that's why. I did however find this one in carbon fiber which looks great.

@bobpies I think this looks awesome! Do you by any chance have the part numbers for all this? Both the fenders/ side rockers as well as the spoiler upgrade? Do you mind sharing in the thread?

Thanks a lot!

So I’m attempting this on my 2018 F Type R convertible and the dealer said for the finishing vents I need parts T2R27635 and T2R27634 which each cost around $1000 compared to $170ish; the VIN was a 2018 SVR convertible. Did the finishing vents change for 2018 on!?

original part list:

Rocker Molding - Jaguar (T2R20613LML) $727.61
Molding-Body Side - Jaguar (T2R20614LML) $727.61
Fender - Jaguar (T2R18858LML) $494.16
Fender - Jaguar (T2R18859LML) $494.16
Fender - Jaguar (T2R19982) $508.08
Fender - Jaguar (T2R19983) $508.08
Vent Louver - Jaguar (T2R20872) $170.81
Vent Louver - Jaguar (T2R20873) $170.81
