Default Swapping gauge faces

Hi guys

Am I the only one who prefers the first generation gauge face graphics

the newer cars with that red semi circle in the centre of the gauge face is just so out of place in not only an otherwise blue black light interior, but also just looks cheap

I want to buy a set of the first gen gauges and swap them over, anyone know if I can just swap the 2 gauges as ideally I want to retain the newer centre digital display

thede pics below actually show two different gauge faces and I'm not sure what model they are from - I prefer the first pic

What am I missing here? These two RPM gauges look identical to me. Not sure what red semicircle you're talking about.

The inner circle on the above gauges is different

it has perpendicular lines within the circle that line up with the speed and rpm markings

can see it better here in first pic

^this is the second generation cluster with red semi circle graphic

Ahhhh I see now. You might want to change that first set of pictures as they are definitely the same gauges. But your second set of photos are different and I see what you mean.

Likely youd have to pull a cluster apart completely and potentially solder in the new gauge cluster pieces to get them to work.

the first set of pictures in my op are in fact different

i just found a cluster advertised off a wreck, and you're right it's all one piece = fuggheddabbouiiitt

let's just leave this thread up then to enjoy the fact jag actually have 3 different cluster designs, and have gone backyards since release - just like the trim finishes and front bumpers
