I'm about to service our 19' F-Type R. I've ordered fluids for the front & rear diffs, Trans, & transfer case. If I've understood right, the BOT-720 is for the rear diff, I have the Dorman 265-853 transmission pan & 7 liters of Life Guard 8 Fluid, 1 liter Castrol SAF-XO for the front diff, and the Shell TF-0870 for the transfer case. Do I have this right?
I ordered 1 liter of BOT 720 from a seller on Amazon. The picture showed the Castrol BOT 720 but they sent Land Rover Electronic Differential Fluid LR019727. Is that the same thing or should I send it back?
Dunno about the LR fluid, perhaps someone else can chime in.
But I'd buy a right-angle barbed fitting (brass if possible) to assist in refilling the transmission. You need to do it HOT and I'm still scarred from touching the exhaust.
