F-Type ( X152 ) 2014 - Onwards

Is there any inexpensive upgrades worth doing to the F Type?

Unfortunately, I know that too

Wait a minute - how did you get a pic of the inside of my car!! Seriously my gap is slightly narrower and less noticeable but it's in the exact same spot. Your F wouldn't happen to be a 2017 would it?

There is another thread somewhere that discusses this factory flaw - apparently TBD number of floor carpets were mis-cut. There was not a recall, but some owners had a full carpet replacement under warranty. IIRC, some folks decided against it due to removing seats and other trim. I have the exact same gap in the exact same place, and I wish I had pursued fixing it at Jag's expense. Not the biggest thing in the world, but of course, I see it all the time and it bugs the buhgeezus outta me.

As much as these cars cost new, they should have never left the factory that way.

I have posted a fix for this in another threat. Its quite simple but does require removing the speaker baffle behind one of the seats. There is plenty of spare carpet underneath it and you could cut a 1inch strip from there as a repair strip. The just removed the plastic fascia above the carpet defect to make room. Match the edges or trim to so both are straight edges and then attach together with appropriate backing tape. (left over sound deadener or synthetic grass joining tape or anything that will stick really). Being a carpet join it will then be invisible.

Thought I'd bump this thread because there were some great examples of individualizing your F-Type.
