Default Those who have removed rocker panels, any regrets?

I'm considering removing the large rocker panels/side body kit that came with the R. I just don't like the look and they cause me to swing my left leg out abnormally far to avoid smacking my ankle bone when getting out.
However, I also wonder if removing them causes too high a risk of rock/road debris damage to the side of the car. Those that have removed them, any regrets in that regard?

They were optional, and I opted to not get them.

I only have the factory clear plastic pieces on the flares ahead of the rear wheels and have no more than typical pitting from about 45K. If I were to start over, I'd probably put some PPF all along the piece below the door but haven't been sufficiently motivated to do it now. There are precut pieces of XPEL available for those panels, but the $446 is not providing extra incentive to me at this point.

I hope I am understanding what you mean by rockers! On,my SVR the rockers, and side skirts are 1 piece. From behind front wheel, to forward of rear. I believe the R is also! I thought it was 2 individual pieces, until I had the side skirts painted!

They are screwed on. You will see holes.

Thank you for the replies. I had read that there may be holes visible with the removal. Don't want that, so I'll be leaving them on and blacking them out to at least give the slimmer appearance.

I actually did the opposite and added a set on mine. I wrapped in black carbon fiber and really liked the look. I think something looks missing with the side skirts entirely removed.

I just had my side skirts wrapped a couple weeks ago for that exact reason. I have a polaris white car, and I always though the side skirts looked a little silly with how much the stick out. I had them wrapped in gloss black along with the little bumper winglets and the hood vents to match the gloss black trim elsewhere on the car. I think it adds some nice contrast and definitely makes it look less fat from the sides. Highly recommended.
