My girlfriend and I have had back problems. I can drive the Ftype for hours but she does not feel well at all even if she is a copilot. I hope I do not have so many problems to sell the R !!!

That's a pity, on the R8, what model are you going for V8 or V10, if the earlier V8 you want to read this before pulling the trigger, seems the early ones had a design flaw in the front structure leading to cracked frame, just be careful and get a full report, there a few threads on goggle about it, i just came across a video on it one night, seems they crack in the same place.

ok my first day with r8

the problem is , i drive great and my leg don't hurt and also the lower back

only that worth the change

2 different car

v10 is mine

i need to say is more exotic the r8 and more "people looking" ...before i drive and take it i read the clutch gear box was nothing special, i find different from f type but faster
or fast identical and this make me happy because the f type is a great gearbox, different because 6 gear and no supercharged but , way more horsepower

yesterday was special , i can drive with a smile a sport car with no pain or really low, and you need to consider that this help me to recovery.... the seat position of jaguar remember me the porsche seating.... R8 is very lower but strange the regulation of the seat are great , you can put flat the seat and raise up , so i have more leg room for the left leg (sciatic) and i put with right knee hip % , i don't use the dead pedal but more space from brake and gas that i use with right foot, sad to talk of that , because i was professional sport man and also sport man but im recovering, probably in 2 3 months i recover total...i star to suspect IN MY CASE that f type aggravate my situation due to seat position , and because i use it a lot....i really love that car, sound terrific great torque...but the last 3 months i hated it because every time i take she remember my situation... so best solution for me....and i think a great upgrade...

THE CAR.... the engine is in the RIGHT place 4 wheel drive, feel very planted night and day with ftype, more similar to porsche , but heavy r8 is heavy but you don't understand and notice that for hp and wheight balance , is very wide and low

im happy and this is important for me... i can drive a sport car with a smile

and i love the line of r8 also...

later post some pic

only 1 mod i do the crome grille in the front i do black ! that's it

and REDLINE 9000 rpm not bad !

Hope you continue to enjoy your R8.

I believe the V10 engine is made by Lamborghini, fitted to Gallardo I think.

I think I would have looked into having custom seats fabricated.

Not so easy these days with air bags fitted inside the seats.

I wanted a V10 Manual R8 before I decided on the F-Type. The gated shifter is glorious. The pre-2014 auto R8s autos were never very good. 2014+ is dual clutch and a sweet ride and no herky jerk driving around town.

Totally understand OP and congrats -- if I was in constant pain I would have found a better fit also. Enjoy the R8.

A V10 plus might be on my radar down the road. However it would probably take a Huracan Avio or Performante to get me out of my 2015R - just LOVE the F-Type so much.
