Default Track tires / tyres, wheels and sizes (SVR)

These questions are track use specific, though sizing should be universal.

Seen a few track-related posts but wanted ask some specific questions that I haven't been able to find answers to when it comes getting out on the track. I've very recently became an owner of a very lightly used 2020 SVR. I'm also an avid weekend track(er). Been looking at getting a dedicated tire/wheel setup for the track but not finding a whole lot out there, thus my questions...

My SVR with CCBs came with the 5061 (Coriolis) wheels 9x20 ET54 / 11x20 ET55 assuming this info is correct: https://www.alloywheelsdirect.net/ja...061_wheel_6627

So I've been looking wheels in this size but haven't come across a whole lot, mostly just a group buy post from some time ago on the PK Design wheels (which look very nice, btw) but in different offsets. To add to that, I am looking at switching to PB Brakes steel rotors to avoid the CCB maintenance.

To add to all this, also looking at tires. For track weekends, I normally run R-comps of the likes of Toyo R888, Sport Cups, and such. There don't seem to be too many choices in the tire size of the SVR.

So to my questions...

What Brand / Model do folks run for forged wheels?
Do you size down (19") or keep the same size?
Are offsets that different between R and SVR, and SVR CCB?
Can the tire size be changed without adverse effects on TSC behavior?

Thanks!
What R-comps do you run? I'm not interested in running extreme summer (i.e. 4S) tires on the track.

You can't go with 19 with the CCBs.

Right, debating the 380mm 8-pot PB setup. Should fit 19s. That said, I'm not married to the idea of down-sizing.

I came from an R to an SVR, and yes, the offsets are way different. What works for the R will stick way out on the SVR as the track width is wider.

Thanks, that makes sense. I assume there's no difference in wheels between CCB and steels due to the difference in rotor thickness though, right? (iirc it's like 2mm difference)

Where do you source wheels for the SVR?

Well, I haven't yet sprung for new wheels on the SVR. It came with the Maelstrom wheels, and I like the look of them. However, I weighed them next to the BC Forged wheels that I had on the R - same Michelin PS4s. Yes, the SVR tires were one size wider (305 vs 295), but I can't imagine that would account for the entire extra 10 lbs per wheel. If you are racing I would definitely be looking into a different forged wheel set.

I can tell you which tyres NOT to use.

Nankang AR-1

Got a set for my XKR, 265/35R20 & 305/30R20

If you look for R-comps in those sizes, you'll find very little to choose from.

The AR-1 lasted a total of seven 10min sessions before the fronts melted down and the seam in the middle of the tread split.

Oh fun, I know Dunlop maxx race 2 come in the stock SVR size and so do the Pirelli Trofeo R. So do the sport cup 2, but I'm not sure those really count as R-comps.

Going to 19s opens up a few other options like the R888R in 275/35 fronts and 325/30 rears.
