Default Upgrade 380 watt to 770 no new hardware needed!

There is a company in the UK that can upgrade 2021f types with certain serial numbers from 380 watt to 770 w with no hardware needed, does anyone know anywhere in the US or how to get this done?Could you just direct me on how to upgrade the software?

I'd research this more before taking it as fact!

I can confirm their statement that at least in to the 2020 R Model that the Meridian Surround center channel speaker is present in the center dash but not activated. In one spot on their page they offer it for $319.00 US not a bad upgrade to the 770 system for sure if it can be done. In another spot that say $1197.00 which I would not do.

For just a little more you could buy a Helix V12 which gets you a 12 Channel DSP Amp that can accept the output of the factory amplifier as its input. It's an actual 75watts x 12 Channels, probably a little more actually, way more power than the factory amp can provide. You could allow the factory DSP setting from the JLR amp to play thru the Helix if you chose or use the DSP software tools for the Helix to flatten the incoming factory signal and use the DSP to customize your tune, time alignment, upmixer for the center channel, rear surrounds, existing rear woofer or add an addition subwoofer to the mix. You may want to consider upgrading your speakers at the same time though as the factory speaker may not do so well with the added horsepower the V12 can supply. This is a truly cutting edge product from Helix.

Although it seems confirmed the speaker is there, do we know for certain if the amplifier is actually the 770W version? I must confess, it's an awfully tempting proposition to do this on mine if this is the case (though I also confess, I don't really mind the audio quality, it's normally just providing background music when I'm driving, rather than trying to entertain me with sonic excellence)

I contacted two dealerships here in the U.S, they said that that it's available but they don't do it here they're not allowed to do factory updates, they said that it's equipped to upgrade the 770 w! I just need to find a way to do it myself since I'm here in the US

In my car the amplifier is the 770 version but is configured only as a 380 system. There will be a Yellow premium sticker on the unit if yours has the 770 version. I think they may have started installing all of the same gear in 2019 MY and just enabling the features that you paid for. Make more since to just produce 1 amplifier and change its capability depending on options selected when you purchase.

There is software and hardware required to interface with the car. Can't remember the cost of the hardware piece but the software is free, just needs to be installed on computer to JLR specs. I think the hardware piece is about a grand. After that you need the know how and what to change to keep from bricking your jags computer. Also need to keep the car alive while doing it. The unit that the JLR dealers use to do this is several thousand I believe but maybe someone else has a better idea. Don't know of anyone in the US setup to do this or if you have the ability to send the ECU out to have it done in UK or not.
