Default Ventilated seats

Does anyone know what year, if at all, Jaguar offered ventilated seats on the F type? My 2014 didn't offer that option and I need it on my next car..

Good to know. Pretty much essential for a convertible in Florida.

I miss the vented seats also, our Maser has them and they are on about 80% of the year

Agreed. I loved the ventilated seats in our BMW X5 50i, and in my wife's Hyundai Palisade. Which in Hyundai form are excellent. I also switch them on 80% of the time in the Tampa area. Never have a wet shirt !
Hence they are essential in my next F type. If that's the direction I go. I have a short list of alternatives going.😁 Shame that the F type looks so damned good!

When I lived in a Florida I had a Saab 9-5 Aero with vented seats - pretty much the equivalent of heated seats in areas where it gets cold - nice, It is surprising that they are not standard or at least an option on higher end cars. The Saab’s I mentioned was a 2000 model and I’ve had at least 20 cars since then and only an option on one of them,

Yes. It is an easy, cheap option for any manufacturer to add. But it took German manufacturers decades before they offered cup holders.
So ventilated seats are a deal breaker for me. Glad that the new F type offers them. But everything else on my short list except one offers them. Shelby 500, Challenger Hellcat Redeye widebody, BMW M4? I certainly hope so. But they are not an option on the M2 Competition , so who knows.LOL.

I worked with a German gentleman when I sold cars (VW) and he said that German engineers didnt understand the need to have a tilt steering wheel because “they put it in the correct spot to begin with”.

That's because all Germans are tha same size, shape and weight, obviously. That's why Porsche have never made their cars look good, they think that jelly mould is the "correct shape".

It was the MY2018 as others noted but ventilated seats only came with the Climate Package 2 (not 1). So, make sure to look out for that if you're considering an upgrade to a new vehicle.

Yeah, sure wish my F Type had them. My wife's previous '17 and now '20 F Pace has ventilated seats and it makes the boys real comfortable.
