Default What do you reckon here?

So taking a closer look around the hood tonight when I put the car away and I notice a scuff. Obviously happened at the factory. This is very close up so didn’t notice before. How they gonna fix this?

I believe he's talking about the middle/bottom of the picture. Where the cloth meets the rubber.

Ahh, hood = roof, yes? I would think they'd have to replace the roof, which they may or may not do.

I looked at mine, which has been raised and lowered dozens of times with no wear showing like yours. If yours is in warranty I would agree Jaguar would likely have to replace it. However be sure to ask them to check to see if the lowering mechanism might need adjustment to prohibit it in the future. Let us know how it works out.

Thankyou. It’s going to the dealer on Wednesday. Will let you know what they say.

So it’s at the dealer now. Also for bad fitment on driver’s door. They confirm that both doors are badly fitted. And the roof. They say they are getting a body shop assessor in then contacting Jaguar warranty. Hopefully the shoddy workmanship will be rectified. I will of course insist that they replace the roof.

Must have hit the final fitment line on a Monday.

So it’s booked in to have the doors adjusted and complete new convertible roof. Let’s hope they make a decent job of it.
