Wheel locks and license plate frame combo from factory
Just wondering who ordered the wheel locks and license plate frame combo when they ordered their f-type? What frame did you receive? I expected the frame that says f-type next to the Union Jack as seen on the Jaguar web site exterior accessories page. I received black frames that day JAGUAR. Kind of ubiquitous looking....not what I expected for msrp $168. The dealer has no idea and surprisingly Jaguar USA customer service punted it back yo dealer and assembly plant. Comments/insights are welcome.

I got the same plate you received, and more importantly, they wheel locks. My dealer stated that every car they order includes that "option"...
I was going to get wheel locks anyway, so I didn't complain. The dealer actually installed the dealers plate frame and left the black "Jaguar" one in my trunk in case I ever wanted to mount the "required" front plate.
I have the wheel lock + plate option (I didn't explicitly order it, came with dealer ordered car). The plate I got was just a black one with "JAGUAR" at the bottom, like you guys described. I actually had the dealership put back the normal wheel nuts. I just don't think anybody is going to try to steel my wheels, and having this locking nut is a PITA if you need to change wheels, etc. One more thing to lose. Also, if you track your car, some clubs don't allow locking wheel nuts (apparently not as strong or durable).
I got the same. Came with the car. I didn't use the front frame, and I put the regular nuts back on the car. I think I used the back frame, or at least the part that goes behind the plate if that was part of the kit. Had no idea it was $168.00. Ridiculous.
I mean it is a nice plate, but $100, no way!
Thanks...I agree the wheel locks are the important part of the package. My dealer also orders with all new vehicles. Even with a large oem markup, one would think for $168 you would receive distinctive frames after deducting say $70 for the wheel locks.

I was all ready to order wheel locks when I ordered the car, but the dealership pointed out that a set came with the car. The ones listed as options were a different design, hence the price.

Did you take delivery yet or is it on order? I've not seen wheel locks listed as standard equipment plus I thought there was only one widely accepted patented design. Interesting. Perhaps I am wrong.
I'm going to echo what has been stated before. I got the same plate that you did, and my dealer also orders all vehicles with that combo. Wheel lock was installed when I took possession of the car. I put the plate on myself. I'd have preferred the one with the Union Jack as well, but the black plate is fine.
I have been tempted to get the replacement door sills with the Union Jack logo though.

I received the plate frame and wheel locks which were included no-charge with the car. I recently removed the wheel locks and went back to the regular wheel bolts. I may sell the wheel locks... I like the plate frame though.
Same here, no use for the front plate as it isn't required here. I was surprised the wheel locks were included as I never ordered them and was never charged for them. 2016 R delivered less than a month ago.
Same here...no charge for the frame and locks '16 S.
