Default Will dedicated snow tires significantly improve winter traction on F Type Base Model

My previous Jag an awesome 2003 XKR Conv. British Racing Green with Cashmire Interior and Tan Top became more than I could handle maintenance wise. I traded for a 2016 F Type Base Coupe in Dark Saphire with Ebony interior automatic. Love the looks and ride. I could venture out in the Winter with my 03 XKR. In light snow and summer tires and manage okay but not great. The F Type on snow is unmanageable on inclines . Anyone have experience using dedicated snow tires on this setup ? Most people would recommend leaving the car home on snowy days. I don't disagree but my F Type is my daily driver. I was looking at Pirelli Suttozero's for my 18 " wheels. The base coupe as I have discovered does not have a mechanical limited slip rear like the higher powered models.

I have a set of wheels & tires that will fit your car if you are interested. I will give you a great deal.

Proper winter tires will allow you to safely drive your car in the cold weather but they won't solve lack of clearance issue. I recommend Michelin X-Ice 3 winter tires.

Personally, I drive a winter beater (with winter tires) and leave my big-engine rear wheel drive toys in the winter storage.

Winter tires are the most influential thing when it comes to improving grip in the snow. AWD is helpful but less so.

No offense but I am looking at new snows w/o dedicated rims. No rush . Spring is here.

What size are your wheels because if you have 20s your not going to find snow tires to fit if I recall correctly. You'd need to get 19inch dedicated wheels. Others can correct me if I'm recalling wrong.

My manual shows Pirelli Sotto Zero at 20" - 255/35 front, 285/30 rear. 36psi.
For SVR, Pirelli Sotto Zero 3, 255/35 and 295/35, 36psi.

I bought 20 inch Nokian Hakkapelleta (spelling?) snows for my XF SC. $400 a corner, but great snow tires. I would try to downsize to 19's in as narrow width as possible with dedicated wheels. Much better for traction than big, fat 20's.
