Hi guys.
When i am driving over 60mile, i can hear wind noise from both side mirror.
it sound like high frequency. it makes bother me.
i went to service center then asked fix it.but they told me that there is no problem just normal.
anyone have some problem as me??????

 

Yeah, I do. I reported it, but I think they said they couldn't reproduce it, though I don't think they really tried.
it only comes from the passenger side on my car, so my guess is that there is some minute manufacturing defect causing the whistling noise.

 

Happens on my XF. Don't hear it with the radio on at any volume though, so it doesn't bother me.

 

I lost all hearing above around 8khz long ago.....

 

solve that problem by pressing the dynamic mode button

 

If you will sit too close to the intake...

 

With the driver window down on my 2015 v6 Coupe, there was a high pitched whistling sound starting at about 60 mph coming from around the mirror. It could not be heard with the window up. It is now gone. My solution was to go to Pep Boys and buy the thinnest rubber gloss black body side molding. I cut a piece to fit on the front edge of the outside mirror. The self adhesive is strong enough to keep it in place. No more whistle. See pic. I wish the factory had a prettier fix. At any rate, when you trade in the car, just take it off.

 

Take it to the dealer. Have them fix it right.

 

I have the same problem with my 2015 XF I had a 2009 XF before and it was not as noisy as now, the mirrors are a different shape on the new model

The noise is more like having a gap in the window seal (I get this on my old xk8 where the qtr windows meet with the door seals)

 

yes. I just started hearing the sound 2 weeks ago on my 2017 XF at the left mirror area

 

This has been bothering me too. I bring it up when I get the car checked, albeit not at the dealer I bought the car from. They always say it's normal. My noice is coming from the B pillar. Any DYI suggestions?
