Which would you choose?

Option#1
-Polaris White Base Coupe
-Switchable Active Exhaust
-Premium+Vision Pack
-Standard 14 way sport seats
-Standard round 3 spoke steering wheel

Option#2
-Polaris White Base Coupe
-Switchable Active Exhaust
-Exterior Black Pack
-Interior Black Pack
-Climate Pack
-Jet Performance Seats with Redzone stitching+Extended Leather Pack
-Flat bottom sports steering wheel

These are both 2016s with the standard glass roof and 770watt Meridian system. Both cars are within $2000 of each other but you can only choose one

Option 3. One ordered to your specifications.

If you had to pick one of those, I'd go for option 1. Vision pack is that important IMO.

Voted for option 1 because of the vision pack, but neither is close enough to what I'd want that I buy. This is (for me) an expensive car, and getting *almost* what I want isn't an option. I waited until I could get exactly what I wanted (within the confines of the sub-optimal bundled choices). Yeah, those bundled things I didn't want ... automatic lift gate, panoramic roof ... Perhaps I'm wrong.

Don't overthink it. Buy the one that sings to you. If neither does, wait. To paraphrase a famous orangutan, it should reach down the front of your trousers and rummage around a bit.

Option 1 for vision pack, just as the others have stated. It's the only option that is really a must-have IMO.

I agree with everyone else, the vision pack alone makes option 1 an easy choice. I didn't want to order one so I just asked the dealer to text me when a Polaris one came in with this option, they managed to get a dealer swap.....two months later. Apparently they are hard to find but I wouldn't buy one without it.

Im not sure whats in the Premium pack, the vision pack in the UK is the directional lights and to me, thats simply a gimick and not that needed. The only Essential I consider for this car is the Active Exhaust ( ) and the Reverse Camera. Everything else is gravy. I dont personally like the black packs or either colour, but on white they will look good. As its a coupe, the climate pack isnt that essential (convertible = Hell yes (in the UK at least :P)). The Performance seats are actually much more uncomfortable to me than the standard or sports seats.

So I guess actually Option 1!

Well said (all except the orangutan part). Vision pack is certainly nice - maybe even a must - as is, simple and different as it is, the flat bottom steering wheel.

Within reason: never compromise.

Good luck.

Don't have the vision pack and its not THAT big of a deal to me, personally. Just have to use your neck a but more than usual. With all other options I wanted ie. 20'' tornados and such, the vision pack wasn't as important. Love the flat bottom wheel and climate pack. As others have reverberated, at this price point, we really shouldn't be making those kinds of compromises though.

Oh, by vision pack I thought it meant the pack with the reverse Camera? Maybe I should read up on the packages then. The msrp on our base model was around $75k so I would imagine we did get a couple of packages but I can't remember which ones.

Edit: I just read up on the packages and it is the premium + vision package that offers the Camera and parking sensors.

That's correct, I didn't mean to confuse things. Vision pack includes the rear camera. I missed it at first in the first couple months but after that, it was no big deal.

Option 2. I Agree with Chase that the vision pack is not a big deal. I've never thought to myself I need the cameras and extra sensors and I parallel park in the car all the time.

I prefer the performance seats And other options in the 2nd option.

Option 2 is a prettier car. Option 1 helps you not back the pretty car into a mailbox. The rear visibility in the coupe is awful. Probably the only thing I don't like about the car....but I'll take it given everything else.

+1 You can order a 2017 now. It might cost more, but then it will be worth more when you go to sell it. Also, don't sell your S2000.

I don't get it. How do you figure "it will be worth more when you sell it"? Wouldn't that all depend upon when you sold it? And it if costs more, how do you come out ahead?

Don't think he mentioned anything about coming out ahead, just that a '17 will sell for more than a '16 at the same time, all else being equal (miles, options, etc.).

All else being equal, a 2017 will be worth more than a 2016 when you sell it, whenever that is. The longer you wait to sell it, the less the difference will be. If you're one to buy a car and then sell it within just a few years, I think getting the newer model year would be the better financial move. If you're going to keep a car for ten years or more, then the initial savings would likely outweigh the additional $ you'd get when selling it.
