Default WTK: Electrical actuation noise post engine shut off

Hey all,

Need some feedback from the hive.

I am trying to understand what component is electronically actuating roughly 20 seconds after I shut down the engine.

I am not referring to the TPS/ECM closed position learn cycle double click. That happens around 5 seconds after engine off.

There is a distinct electric actuation of some sort at the front of the car, perhaps by the heat exchanger pack, that happens consistently 17-20 sec after engine off from a drive.

I've always heard this noise since I've had the car, but the actuation noise sounds slight lower in frequency vs before. I wanted to check if that component may be operating normally or may be on it's way out. No codes, no abnormal behaviors. This is more curiosity and preventative checks.

Any thoughts?

I always thought it was the fuel pump deactivating.

I always thought it was information about the car uploading to Google!

More seriously, those clicks could be various things shutting down to 'go to sleep' Our '14 always makes those noises. It clicks more when a door or trunk is opened.

++++++++++
Don't feel bad, some Hondas actuate their EVAP purge systems 8 hours after the car is driven! "What's that noise in the garage?"

It sounds pretty cool tbh, like a fine machine shutting down, opening valves to relieve pressure.

All you hear on modern turbo cars after shutting off is the fan.
