just bought. 34k mile 09 Super V8 Portfolio...excited. BUT...Airbag light on full time.
took it to dealer..i thought minor..sensor etc...
they say they believe its a problem with the pass seat slide...a part that is no longer available and if it was it would be 3500.00.

Well, i just cannot believe it. They came to this conclusion by their obd code reader.

ive contacted JLR usa headquarters...no help as of yet...

its still at dealer...want me to get it out...and accept that they cant fix it.

Advice Please.....its just sn airbag light@!!!!

Ask the dealer for the code(s) and post them here.

I, and a few other members have had serious issues with XK8/XKR permanent airbag warning light. Mine was a burned out module, some had the same, others had faulty Occupancy Sensors or Hall Effect Sensors on the seat slider. Jaguar tend to use similar design principles across the model ranges so your model is unlikely to be a widely different setup.

Post the codes, the combined brainpower of the forums could find a solution to your issue.

1. If my 06 XJR does not have sat radio can I order one original on eBay from a jag and plug into fiber loop in trunk. I’m itgerxeords are all jag XJ prewired in the fiber for a plug for sat radio??

2. also on XJR. If I hit on eBay 20 in wheels off maybe an XF or XK later year will they fit an 06/07/08 xj??
