Greetings Jaguar owners. I recently fell in love with a 95 xjr and purchased her without a shred of knowledge of the complexities such a beautiful vehicle possesses. After replacing a faulty alternator ( not charging) and a starter ( slow cranking), things started to look quite rosy. Then one day I tried to start her up and was greeted with a single click from the solenoid. Battery voltage @ 12.7 at the firewall lug, no blown fuses. Only thing I can think of is the starter ( factory rebuilt) . Heard something about the transmission switch but because of a lack of space have to send her away to a garage. Could I be missing something minor which would cause this problem? This is a beautiful car and gets a lot of compliments, would hate to see her used as lawn art. Open to any and all suggestions.
